| Listening to groups like Chicago and Earth Wind & Fire were staples growing up. Some of Steve's early influences were the sounds of Lee Loughnane of the 70's & 80's group, Chicago, Rahmlee Michael Davies and Michael Harris of the famed Phenix Horns (EWF, Phil Collins), and of course ... the all-star Tower of Power Horn section. In Steve's gear arsenal, his trumpet collection includes both a Yamaha YTR6340ST, Yamaha YTR8310Z, Yamaha YFH6310Z and his Harry James special ... a restored 1947 King Liberty II. |
| Steve started out his musical career at the age of 5 when his parents enrolled him for piano lessons. After studying and learning his musical prowess on the keyboards, he then moved on to the guitar. Growing up in a house listening to rock and R & B got him hooked on his next endeavor...the trumpet. |
