| During High School, I continued singing in a Sound Singers Group, participated in talent shows, theatrical musicals, pageants and loved being a cheerleader for my school. After High School came college. I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a BS in Psychology, but of course music was always a passion. I concentrated on studies for a couple of years, but always looked forward to going out to the local karaoke bar to keep the voice warm in the big town of Hilo, HI. After college, I worked in Hawaii for a couple of years as a make-up artist and then transferred to San Francisco, what a great city!! I have now relocated to the Great Northwest as I've started a family. I never thought I'd be singing in a 70's funk band. I truly enjoy the music, my band mates and the crowd that supports us. If I were givin' the option to go solo, no way ..................................................... Only if I can bring the gang!!! Watch out Washington, Sonic Funk is coming to town!!! |
When Was the first time I was
touched by music? Per my mother,
it was when I was 3 or 4 years old.
I listened to Silent Night for the
first time and started crying
because it was so beautiful. Ever
since then, music has touched me.
I did your normal things growing up
as a kid. Always sang in a choir,
played the violin. The piano or
guitar seemed more appealing
because you can sing while
playing, but public schools did not
offer this.
